EXHIBIT-7.8 email. Comyn to Livingstone - BankwestDOCEXHIBT7.8 Dear Commissioner Hayne, (& RC Team) Attached is the email dated 1st Jan 2018 between Mr Coymn and Ms Livingstone discussing strategy suggestions for the Royal Commission. It contains the sentence, ".. we will need to do a review of Bankwest to ensure there is consistency and alignment." People who are telling the truth don't need to "get their stories straight". In a later paragraph Mr Comyn refers to Bankwest as a matter that CBA "have not acted on", which implies they may have to act on it if the Commission investigates it properly, otherwise, why mention it? : "Issues that we have been aware of and debated, and for one reason or another, have not acted on, that could come in for new scrutiny and criticism. These include commercial constructs such as customer-level pricing in RBS and Bankwest;" It's apparent to that you were played by an experienced banker in David Cohen, you need to conduct a complex investigation that may require an extension to the reporting time frames. I urge you to reconsider your Bankwest investigation.
